Supporting Local Youth at The Real Sandbox Show
The London Bridge Model Boat Club (LBMBC) is proud to support The Real Sandbox Show, a free, family-friendly youth event in Lake Havasu City designed to introduce kids and families to the people, equipment, skilled trades, and career opportunities that help build and support our communities.
Supporting local youth is an important part of LBMBC’s commitment to giving back to Lake Havasu City and the surrounding Mohave County community. The Real Sandbox Show provides young people with opportunities to get up close with trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, tradespeople, and hands-on experiences while discovering career paths they may not otherwise encounter.
For LBMBC, supporting events like The Real Sandbox Show goes hand-in-hand with the values behind model boating—mechanical skills, craftsmanship, engineering, problem-solving, creativity, and learning by doing.
We’re proud to stand behind an event that encourages the next generation to explore, ask questions, get their hands dirty, and discover what they can build for their future.
LHHS Auto Shop
The London Bridge Model Boat Club is proud to support the next generation of skilled trades professionals by donating $500 to the Lake Havasu High School Auto Shop Program.
Club members recently presented the donation alongside several student participants and instructors. The contribution is intended to help support educational opportunities, hands-on learning experiences, and resources that benefit students pursuing automotive and technical careers.
For more than 24 years, the London Bridge Model Boat Club has been committed to serving not only the RC boating community but also the greater Lake Havasu City community. Through events, partnerships, and charitable contributions, the club strives to make a positive impact both on and off the water.

September 28th, 2024 the London Bridge Model Boat Club (LBMBC) had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Key Clubs from Kiwanis Club of Lake Havasu City in the heart of the channel. These outstanding students from Lake Havasu City High School and Telesis joined forces with the LBMBC, showcasing the power of community collaboration.
As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we are excited to announce that the Key Club received a generous donation for their assistance in helping with the upcoming 2025 National NAMBA Race.
Their enthusiasm and support make all the difference, and we are proud to support the next generation of leaders right here in Lake Havasu City!
Together, we are making waves both on and off the water by supporting local students and ensuring our events continue to thrive with community spirit. Thank you to the Kiwanis of Lake Havasu City Key Club members for their dedication and partnership!
